This player is one of the most talented European players who are playing in the world's major basketball league. I unquestionably deem that Gasol was the factor why Memphis entered the play-offs last NBA season. He is a stable menace inside the court whom the opposing team must contend, or else, they would be outdone.

Nevertheless, I think this Spanish player who earned the 2002 NBA Rookie Award is not as strong and as competitive as the other big men in the league. I deem he's too soft when you compare him with Spurs Tim Duncan and massive Ben Wallace. Though he has a good post up threat, it is not very helpful when he is going up against taller and versatile defenders.
